I've had a long passion for photography, even before I got my hands on a camera. I was always fascinated by beautiful photos and the indescribable feeling they gave me. Years ago, I talked to a business owner visiting Hawaii and mentioned that passion to him. Two weeks later, he sent me a camera, that was the beginning of my creative journey from photography into video.
Alongside that, I studied social work, which shapes how I approach storytelling today, not just making something look good, but making sure it actually helps people. Fast forward to now, I'm currently working at Counseling Services at Brigham Young University–Hawaii as the lead in marketing, where that passion and that purpose come together in every video and photo I create.

To help drive attendance for a grief support workshop hosted by BYU–Hawaiʻi's Counseling Services, I directed, filmed, and edited a three-part video series built around one idea: grief doesn't always look the way people expect. It started with a cinematic short film following a student character grappling with grief after not being accepted into his master's program making the topic feel personally relevant to a wider student audience. I followed that with a straightforward announcement video featuring the workshop's instructor, sharing the event's date, time, and details.
After the workshop, I scouted a few students who were willing to be interviewed about what had stuck with them, and edited their responses into a short testimonial reel, extending the impact of the event beyond the people who were in the room.
